Product description

Handira | Moroccan Weddingblanket

A one of a kind Moroccan wedding blanket. Vintage wedding blankets are more and more difficult to find in good condition, especially the white ones. They are almost becoming collector's items. We have taken a lot of time to search and build up an collection. We are therefore proud to present our handira collection.

The Moroccan wedding blanket is completely handmade with much love and prayers by female relatives of the bride. The handira stood for happiness, fertility and protection against evil.

According to old Moroccan Berber tradition the handira was worn by the bride draped over her schoulders on her wedding day, on the way to the house of her husband.

Styling with a Handira

These gorgeous blankets are beautiful on your bed. They create a very stylish and chic touch in your bedroom. You can choose for a more ''simple'' piece or a real glamourous one. Did you ever thought of a Moroccan wedding blanket as wall hanging? It's really stunning! Use the handira as a throw on your couch for an elegant accent.

Old Tradition in a New Way

Giving a Moroccan wedding blanket to your best friend, sister, niece on her wedding is a beautiful and unique gift. That way you can continue the old tradition a little bit.
